I recently read this book “Polite Fictions in Collision: Why Japanese and Americans Seem Rude to Each Other” by Nancy and Shiyo Sakamoto. Basically the book talks about the cultural differences between American and Japan and why there is some misunderstanding between them. I have been to Japan before so I was have experienced such differences, however I felt I gained a greater understanding by reading this book. I learned more about the reasons why the Japanese act a particular way. So if you have some time to kill and would like to learn about the Japanese way of doing things, then I would highly recommend this book.
